Description
In the world of collecting F.P. Journe, there are several differentiating which can greatly elevate value. Two of these factors are the case size and movement material. Journe discontinued the 38mm case size in 2015, and stopped producing brass movements in 2004, therefore watches possessing these features are considered to be rarer and more desirable. The present Octa Chronographe, a model which was also discontinued years ago, contains both of these features.
Condition Report
Very GoodThe watch is in very good condition with light signs of wear. It features crisp engravings and hallmarks and is in likely unpolished condition. The dial with some very light spotting and imperfections consistent with some examples of this age, only visible under loupe. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
