Description
Rolex introduced the Oyster Perpetual Date in the 1950s, around a decade after the 1945 release of the Datejust. The Rolex Date can be considered the smaller version of the Datejust, offering the same functionality in a more compact 34mm case. The Oyster Perpetual Date collection can be found in the Lady Date collection, a more petite version with an oyster case size of 26mm or 34mm. The Lady Date line was discontinued circa 2000s, while the Date remained in production as a 34mm until it was discontinued in 2021.
Condition Report
ReviveThe watch is heavily worn throughout and is in need of restoration. Case is in overall fair condition with surface wear. Bracelet has signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has signs of scratches. Hands are showing worn throughout commensurate with age. Dial is in good condition with minor fading prints. Crystal is showing signs of scratches. Caseback has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
