Description
The Patek Philippe reference 5055 was produced for only 6 years, between 1998 and 2004. It is powered by the celebrated automatic movement with a microrotor calibre 240. This version is the cal. 240 PS IRM C LU was also used for the Nautilus 3712 and 5712.
PS stands for Petite Seconde (small seconds), IRM for Indication de la Reserve de Marche (power reserve indication), C for Calendrier (date) and LU for Lune (moon-phases). This beautiful movement can be admired through the sapphire display back.
Condition Report
The watch is in overall good condition with light wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in good condition with minor surface wear. Strap is in good condition with minor wear. Dial is in overall good condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
