Description
The Universal Genève Swiss watch brand was founded in 1894, and developed in-house movements to equip its collections. Several models are still highly sought-after among collectors to this day: the Uni-Compax, the Compax, the MedicoCompax, the Aero-Compax and the Tri-Compax (also referred to as “le glorieux”), as well as the famous Polerouter.
In this mode, “Tri” is derived from the three main complications, chronograph, full calendar and moon phases. One of the most complex chronograph wristwatches of the period, its functions include days, weeks, jumping months, moon phases and a minute counter.
Honest Vintage: The Greg Selch Collection
A native New Yorker from a family of connoisseurs, Greg Selch has collected watches for over 20 years, among many other things. Over the years, Selch has become well-known for his passion: “orphan watches” as well as well-worn watches with patina, for which a term has been created: #selchism.
