Description
Although the first Air-King was released in 1945 as reference 4925, the Air-King reference 5500 is one of the most iconic models that Rolex has produced. The 5500 was not released till 1957 and while being in Rolex’s production for 37 years, minimal changes were made to this collection of watches. This eventually led to the Reference 5500 being one of the more classic watches of Rolex.

ReviveThe watch is heavily worn throughout and is in need of restoration. Case is in overall fair condition with moderate surface wear. Bracelet has moderate signs of stretch, scratches, and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has moderate signs of scratches. Dial has signs of wear throughout commensurate with age. Markers have signs of corroded. Hands have signs of wear. Crystal has minor scratches. Caseback has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
