Description
Although the first Air-King was released in 1945 as reference 4925, the Air-King reference 5500 is one of the most iconic models that Rolex has produced. The 5500 was not released till 1957 and, although being in Rolex’s production for 37 years, minimal changes were made to this collection of watches. This eventually led to the Reference 5500 being one of the more classic watches of Rolex.

FairThe watch is in overall fair condition with moderate wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in overall fair condition with moderate surface wear. Bracelet has moderate signs of stretch and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Dial is in overall good condition. Caseback has minor signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
