Description
The Rolex Air-King was introduced in 1945, alongside the Datejust, as part of the celebration of the brand's 40th anniversary. The model gained more popularity after 1957 and the presentation of the 5500, which is now considered a classic from the brand. Later on, the Air-King went through further modifications and references, with the 14000 (1989) marking the sapphire crystal and the then-new caliber 3000. In 2007, Rolex introduced the modern "6-digit" reference Air-King; this 116900 features a smooth bezel with an Oyster bracelet.

The bracelet has light signs of stretch and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Dial is in overall very good condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
