Description
The perpetual calendar is a landmark complication, and most serious maisons offer at least one iteration in their catalogue at all times. Launched in 2001, the Langematik Perpetual was A. Lange & Söhne's first foray into the world of complicated calendars, while still preserving their brand identity such as the iconic outsized date. The long production run that the model would go on to achieve is testament to the strength of this first attempt.
Condition Report
The watch is in very good overall condition with only minor signs of wear. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Please be advised that bands made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) cannot be shipped outside the country of sale. If these watches are purchased outside of Hong Kong, we will replace with calf leather bands prior to shipping.
Please note that this item is final sale and not eligible for return.
