A David Ortiz-signed full ticket from his 1997 MLB debut, graded “AUTHENTIC AUTO 10” by PSA.
On September 2, 1997, David Ortiz made his Major League debut. Ortiz’s Minnesota Twins lost 9-3 to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. The future Hall of Famer pinch-hit in the 7th inning and flew out to left field in his first big league at-bat.
Ortiz spent parts of six seasons with the Twins before joining the Boston Red Sox prior to the 2003 season. In Boston, “Big Papi” emerged as one of baseball’s most feared power hitters and helped the franchise win World Series titles in 2004, 2007 and 2013. He earned 10 All-Star Game selections and seven Silver Sluggers before retiring in 2016. Ortiz was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2022.
The ticket is encapsulated in a PSA slab and received an "AUTHENTIC AUTO 10" grade.
