Description
Donovan Mitchell Utah Jazz 2020 NBA Opening Night game-worn jersey.
This away "Icon Edition" jersey was worn by Donovan Mitchell on December 23, 2020, when the Utah Jazz played the Portland Trail Blazers during the Kia NBA Tip-Off game. Mitchell finished with 20 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal. The Jazz beat the Trail Blazers, 120-100.
“Starter 12/23" is handwritten on the jock tag.
After being selected as the 13th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Mitchell quickly made his mark with the Utah Jazz, demonstrating remarkable athleticism and an exceptional ability to lead the team's offense. Following a 2022 trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2022-2023 season, Mitchell cemented himself as one of the league’s premier scorers. On January 2, 2023, Mitchell scored 71 points against the Chicago Bulls, becoming just the seventh player in NBA history to score 70 or more in a single game. In addition to this record, it was the most points scored by an NBA player since the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant scored 81 against Toronto in 2006.
At the time of cataloging, Mitchell has career averages of 24.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. He is a 4-time NBA All-Star and a 2023 All-NBA Second Team selection. Mitchell was also the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Champion.
