Long considered one of the NBA’s best players, not to mention the greatest international player in basketball, German legend Dirk Nowitzki spent his entire 21-year NBA career with the Dallas Mavericks. Known for his patented one-legged fadeaway jumper, Nowitzki nearly single-handedly transformed the Mavericks into a perennial playoff team and championship contender. He famously led the Mavericks to two NBA Finals appearances, including the 2011 NBA championship over LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat. 

A 14-time All-Star and 12-time All-NBA selection, Nowitzki helped revolutionize the game by becoming one of the first big men to become a legitimate outside shooting threat. In 2007, Nowitzki was voted league MVP after averaging 24.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists on 50.2 percent shooting from the field including 41.6 percent from three-point range.
