Description

A The Smiths performance contract drawn up on the 24th August 1984, which has been signed by Morrissey.

  • The contract between Paul Darwin of Outlaw, London and Morrissey on behalf of The Smiths was for the group’s performance that took place at the Mayfair, Swansea, Wales on the 26th of September 1984.
  • It has been signed by Morrissey at the bottom in black pen.
  • The contract includes financial details such as fees, percentage of door takings etc.
  • It also includes details of itemized expenses and additional clauses.
  • This work is presented unframed.


This was the final date in The Smiths mini tour of Wales which was used as a warm up for a planned tour of the USA that was due to take place in October, but was subsequently cancelled.
