Provenance: Anthony Fanshawe Royle, Baron Fanshawe of Richmond, KCMG (1927–2001), former Guards Officer and SAS Commando, later MP for Richmond, a Foreign Office minister and Conservative Party Vice Chairman under Margaret Thatcher (armorial bookplate to pastedown).
