  • Small octavo.
  • The bookseller label of Sylvia Beach's "Shakespeare and Company" bookstore appears on the back paste-down, and an "Ex Libris" of Shakespeare and Company's lending library appears on the front paste-down.
  • Erased inscription by McAlmon to Djuna Barnes on the front free endpaper, no pencil remains, but the hard imprint of the inscription has remained on the page.
  • Dark blue cloth spine with light blue lettering.

Boards show moderate cornerwear, shelfwear to the hinges and head and tail of the spine, and several small stains to the front and back covers.

Textblock shows age-toning (more pronounced at the front and back free end paper), and three instances of pencil underlining on pp 51-52, 59.
