Description
A Spanish version of the first Mickey Mouse 'Waddle Book,' by Walt Disney Studios.
Publisher's file copy of a Spanish edition of this rare waddle book, with all 4 waddle figures unpunched and all the original parts.
Near-fine in very good plus jacket.
The American edition published in 1934 by Blue Ribbon Press is the first ever "waddle" title in which die-cut figures can be assembled into full three dimensional color figures. When attached to their legs with the brass pieces included, the figures can actually move down the ramp without contrivances. Instructions for assembling the figures are in the rear. Included are Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Tanglefoot (the horse). This Spanish edition is identical to the American edition except for the translated text. In spectacular condition, likely because it was the publisher's file copy.
Condition Report
Only shallow wear and soiling to book edges.
Jacket with a few archival repairs to verso, some closed tears and attendant faint creasing.
