  • With an autographed poem, 24 lines beginning "What thought I scantly trust ye can / Find any pardon for a man," 2 pages, written on a single folded sheet of Riley's personal stationery.
  • Bound in unsigned crushed red morocco, lightly mottled in a Spanish style, covers gilt with a fillet and foliate frame with red and blue morocco onlays, spines gilt in panels with blue morocco onlays, gilt dentelles, burgundy moiré silk linings, and top edges gilt.

Volume one with rear board with half a dozen small scrapes, light cracking to front hinge, light chipping beginning to head of spine.

Lower edge of fore edge of text blocks with some black smudging.

All volumes with slight bumping to corners and very light wear.
