Description

A first edition of the James Bond novel Diamonds Are Forever.

  • Ian Fleming (English).
  • London: Jonathan Cape, 1965.
  • Octavo.
  • Bound in the original black boards, spine lettered in silver, diamond motif to front cover, with the original dust jacket.

Diamonds Are Forever is the fourth title in the iconic Bond series, featuring the first mention of Spectre, which would go on to become the organization led by Bond's greatest nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

The jacket design, featuring Bond's love interest Tiffany Case, was created by designer Pat Marriott, who would later use a similar approach in depicting Honeychile Rider for the jacket of Dr. No.
