Description

Dame Edith’s coat and collection of first editions inscribed to her brother Sacheverell.

A set of four first editions of her work, inscribed to Sacheverell, previously exhibited at The National Portrait Gallery for ‘The Sitwells’, between 1994-95, with a first edition (unsigned) of Taken Care Of, along with Dame Edith’s own brocade jacket.

  • A first edition, first printing.
  • Very good condition, in like wrapper with the original National Portrait Gallery tissue wrap.

A silk brocade fitted long line jacket by Nina Astier of Chelsea.

  • Leaf green with matching green lining, with fabric buttons.
  • Some light fading and stains to the cuff edges.
  • Previously owned and worn by Dame Edith and originates from the sale by Dreweatts at Weston Hall in 2021.
