An autograph letter signed (A.L.S.) from Lewis Carroll to his cousin, Georgina Allen.

  • Oxford: Christ Church, Mar. 3/96.
  • Autograph etter (in black ink) signed "C. L. Dodgson" to "Georgie" [his cousin, Georgina Allen].
  • Letter reads "My dear Georgie," with authorial or editorial advice "I think it very desirable to tell the readers of your story what you have told me in p. 3 of enclosed letter - So I should be glad to put it in as a preface, if you will write it out in the form in which you would like it to appear. Yours always afftely, C. L. Dodgson", verso in Dodgson’s hand and crossed out “Please return.”
