  • Volumes 1-5 are bound in full tree calf, spines of volumes 1-2 have maroon and black labels with gilt lettering and ornamentation, spines of volumes 3-5 have faded maroon labels with gilt lettering and ornamentation.
  • Atlas volume is quarter bound in brown leather with corners tipped and marbled paper boards.

Boards show moderate wear and bumping to corners, resulting in exposed boards along most corners.

Boards have rubbing wear and soiling throughout, and light to moderate cracking to spines.

Volume 2 has a loss of leather to spine tail end.

Text blocks of volumes 1-5 have marbled end papers, a range of foxing from light plus to significant on most pages throughout, light pencil marks on some pages throughout, and age toning.

Volume 1 tissue guard has a large open tear.

Atlas text block is beginning to split along the gutter, and moderate foxing and age toning throughout.

Plates III and IV are partially detached from text block.
