- The paper normally consisted of 16 pages.
New Musical Express was one of the most authoritative UK music papers of the sixties and seventies. It contained interviews with, and features about, all of the important artists and bands of the sixties plus news, record and concert reviews and great pictures.

1964 – Complete year – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 3rd January and ends on the 25th December.
1965 – Complete year – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 1st January and ends on the 31st December.
1966 – Complete year – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 7th January and ends on the 31st December.
1967 – Complete year – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 7th January and ends on the 30th December.
1968 – Complete year – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 6th January and ends on the 28th December.
1969 – Complete year – There are 51 issues in total. The run begins on the 4th January and ends on the 27th December.
