Description

American Art Nouveau glazed earthenware three-handled cup with engraved silver overlay.

  • Made by Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati and the artist was Constance Amelia Baker.
  • Round with straight and upward tapering sides and three silver c-scroll handles.
  • Orange blooms and buds with crisscrossing and snapped stems on shaded brown ground.
  • Overlay in form of leafing scrollwork, flowers and diaper.
  • Marks include dated Rookwood stamp, artist’s signature, shape number 330 and size D.
