This work is part of an outstanding selection from the Estate of Richard Hambleton, the enigmatic artist whose haunting shadow portraits helped define the urban interventionist spirit of street art in New York during the early 1980s, with a portion of the Estate’s proceeds from the sale to benefit Arts Education at the New Museum of Contemporary Art.

This work is in good condition overall. There is general wear to all three books overall, inherent to the artist's working method and present at the time of execution, including: creasing, scratches, accretions, lifting, rubbing, handling marks, discoloration, losses, and tears to both the interior sheets and outer covers, with many pages detached from the binding. Additionally, there is soiling to all three books both internally and externally.
