This offset lithograph is hand signed and dated in pencil by the artist "Richter, 1969" at the lower right margins. It is hand numbered in pencil 51/80 at the lower right margin.

It was printed by Hoppe & Werry, Mulheim an der Ruhr. and was co-published by Galerie Heiner Friedrich and Verlag G. v. Pape, Munich in 1969 in a limited edition of 80 impressions with 20 few artist’s proofs. This impression is illustrated in the Gerhard Richter official website.

In this portfolio Richter produced very elaborate optical illusions. He constructed the nine three-dimensional objects himself and photographed them in everyday environments. Then he had the photographs professionally retouched so that the constructions appeared spatially impossible. He then re-photographed the reworked images and printed them using offset technique.
