Description
Brooklyn Bridge (FS II.290) by Andy Warhol, 1983.
Andy Warhol's iconic depiction of the Brooklyn Bridge connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan is a dual-image of the landmark reversed and rendered in complementary colors. This print was created by the artist at the request of the Brooklyn Bridge Centennial Commission to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the now-iconic architectural staple. It features his signature color-blocking style, Warhol employs the use of bold colors such as red, blue, green and black, layering colors like candy flavors and creating a three-dimensional aesthetic. The print is signed and numbered in pencil and presented in a custom-welded steel frame.
