Brutalist Hanukkah lamp menorah by David Palombo.<ul><li>Hand-forged, cast and soldered iron.</li><li>David Palombo (Turkish, 1920–1966) was a sculptor and painter who immigrated to Israel with his parents in 1923.</li><li>Palombo began his studies at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and became a student of sculptor Ze’ev Ben-Zvi in 1942, later becoming an assistant at Ben-Zvi’s studio and teaching at Bezalel.</li><li>Palombo’s known works include the gates to the memorial building at Yad Vashem (1960) and the gates to the Knesset; the latter were created shortly before his premature death.</li><li>This piece is final sale and not eligible for return.</li></ul>

Persimmon Menorah

Tom Otterness (American, b. 1952).<ul><li>The sterling silver goblet, when covered, symbolizes the earth and is held up by two 24 karat gold vermeil figures.</li><li>Elijah Cup can be used during the Passover Seder, either alone or in conjunction with the artist’s Seder Plate. It can also be used as a non-religious object to commemorate a&nbsp;wedding, anniversary or other ceremonial occasion, and functions as a traditional cup on any table.&nbsp;</li></ul>

Elijah Cup

Tom Otterness (American, b. 1952).<ul><li>Seder Plate provides a new and innovative approach by a contemporary sculptor to the traditional story of the Exodus from Egypt. The compartments for the ritual foods are set into a symbolic Red Sea, with Moses parting it. The remaining images, drawn from the Passover Haggadah, include the Ten Plagues, Aaron’s staff turning to a serpent, the Paschal lamb and the four sons, who support and elevate the plate.</li></ul>
