Description
The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 was the 29th time OMEGA recorded the Olympic dreams of the world's best athletes. In celebration of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the event’s official timekeeper has produced this truly special five-watch set, inspired by the colors of the Olympic Rings and limited to 55 sets. This is a very rare and discontinued model.
Three of the five watches are cased in stainless steel. Two embrace blends of stainless steel and gold. 18K Sedna gold and 18K yellow gold. All bezels are polished with an anodized aluminum Tachymeter ring in blue, black, green or red. All five watches' faces include the word "Speedmaster" in red, and each watch sports a highly individual color scheme. The dials are in sun-brushed blue, opaline silvery, sand-blasted light grey, sun-brushed grey and classic black. Turning each watch over reveals a screw-in caseback, polished and engraved with on OMEGA logo, "Limited Edition" wording and number. Each caseback is also embossed with the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 logo.
Five watches in this set are presented on stainless steel bracelets, with the special Olympic Games presentation box including five additional leather straps with the changing tool, complete with fold-over clasps, giving an extra strap for each model.
Condition Report
NewFive watches are in excellent, new condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
