Incredibly rare and special original pair of Japanese made Nike roller skates, featuring the Lady Waffle Trainer mounted on trucks and wheels. This was the first Waffle for women and was built on a narrower last. The iconic Waffle was named for the patented waffle iron-like pattern of the rubber outsole which Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman developed after being inspired by his wife’s waffle iron. The raised grid of polygon nubs increased stabilization with gripping edges that improved traction on multiple surfaces, without the need of metal spikes. Nylon used for the upper created light-weight durability.

  • Bright yellow nylon upper with original laces and yellow suede heel counter, vibrant light blue heel tab, Swoosh and outsoles, thick yellow and blue midsoles.
  • Coordinating blue toe stop and green wheels with chrome trucks.
  • Feature double layered Spenco sockliner insoles.
  • Black and orange logo tongue tags.
  • Marked "The Authorized Nike Roller Skates" at bottom.
  • Especially rare original shoebox and warranty card from Roller Wheels, Inc included.
  • Style Number: 2232
  • 1977-1981
  • This piece is final sale and not eligible for return.
