Description

A Northern Chinese bench from the late Qing dynasty.

  •  Made from northern Elm using mortise-and-tenon joinery, it has a quite deep framed seat with a floating panel interior and is raised on splayed round legs reinforced by simple spandrels.
  • Original rubbed oxblood patina.
