A pair of inlaid Syrian side tables.
- Sold as a set of 2.
- Rectangular form with square legs with rectangular apron joined by brackets.
- An intricate geometric pattern covers the surface with inlays of exotic woods, bone and mother of pearl.
Provenance
Acquired in Damascus, Syria by a US Foreign Service Officer in 1949.
Condition Report
GoodSome small areas of inlay missing visible on close inspection to one tabletop.
Some splitting, small losses and separation to ends of legs.
Overall wear and occasional scuffs are commensurate with age and use.
