A Japanese merchant's cabinet from the Meiji period.

  • A choba-dansu used for the storage of important documents, stationery and money.
  • Eight drawers with iron hirute handles and two further storage compartments with sliding and swinging doors.
  • A prestige piece with numerous decorative corner, cross and brace plates.
