American "Japanesque" sterling silver and mixed-metal tea set by Gorham Mfg. Co., Providence, Rhode Island.

  • Sold as a set of 3.
  • Set includes teapot, creamer and sugar bowl.
  • Bellied form with short reeded neck and foot ring.
  • Teapot with hinged, gently raised cover with ball finial, s-form spout and stained wood handle.
  • Creamer with lip spout and bracket handle.
  • Sugar bowl and creamer with gilt-washed interior and engraved three-letter monogram.
  • Decorated with hand-hammered allover honeycomb and applied period motifs.
  • Hallmarks include no. 2105 and date letter 1879 (sugar) and 1880 (teapot and creamer).
