Description

Chinese export Rose Mandarin porcelain tea canister from the Qing dynasty, Qianlong period.

  • Diamond-shape body with slight curved neck and a domed cover with a lion finial.
  • Each panel in body depicts leisure lifestyle of noble family in a garden setting by a pavilion.
  • The sides of the neck and cover are decorated with birds on branches within gilt foliate scrolls.
