Description

Austrian 812 silver box engraved with leaves and flowers.

  • Rectilinear with tapering sides and chamfered corners.
  • Cover hinged, tabbed and stepped.
  • Corner shell and flower-mounted scroll supports.
  • On cover top is engraved presentation in German to a girl born in 1839 from her godmother.
  • On box underside is engraved: “April 1941 / Good Luck”.
  • With an unidentified maker's mark.
