A collection of faux book boxes, each housing 24 Grand Tour plaster intaglios.
- Sold as a set of 3.
- Comprising three volumes of faux book boxes, each enclosing two blue paper-lined panels with an assortment of engraved cameos
- Handwritten table of contents to the inside covers, with gilt-tooled leather bindings.
- The 24 intaglios are oval-shaped with an exquisite gilt gadrooned border.
- Made in the studio of Pietro Paoletti (Italian, 1801-1847) in Piazza di Spagna, Rome.
Condition Report

Minor chips and cracks to plaster.
Cracking and wear to leather.
Some glue has disintegrated, leaving intaglios loose from the fabric backing.
