Description

Footed haisen bowl used for the ceremonial washing of sake cups.

  • Kutani porcelain comes from the Ishikawa Prefecture where it has been made since the 17th century.
  • Exterior in cobalt sometsuke and interior painted with magnolia blossoms on a taupe ground with a swallow and gilt accents.
  • Bottom with Kutani signature.
