Description

American Art Nouveau sterling silver bread & butter plates.

  • Sold as a set of 12.
  • Made by Redlich & Co. and retailed by Bailey, Banks & Biddle.
  • Round and deep well with wide and curved shoulder
  • Applied open and irregular rim comprising languishing blooms and entwined leafing and budding branches.
  • All marked "Sterling," with one plate also with maker’s stamp (Redlich & Co.), retailer’s stamp (Bailey, Banks & Biddle), number 3148 and engraved years "1914 / 1939" (added later).
