A Japanese stoneware incense burner in the form of a straw hut with a modeled bird.

  • The Bizen area is located in the Okayama Prefecture with origins dating to the 12th century.
  • Bizen is one of the Six Ancient Kilns and is known for its unglazed pieces, with the present glaze naturally occurring in the kiln.
  • Potter's signature to the bottom of the burner.
