American Chippendale mahogany side chair crafted in Philadelphia.

  • Patterned pointed crest splat design.
  • Motif flowing from the crest rail is an adaptation from plate 13 of Thomas Chippendale's Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker's Director (1754).
  • Two front cabriole legs terminating in ball-and-claw feet.
  • Secondary woods: White pine, tulip poplar, oak.
