In 2003, Reebok partnered with rapper and business mogul Jay-Z, signing him to a multi-year endorsement deal, and giving Jay-Z his own signature apparel and sneaker line. The first and most memorable release was the S. Carter, said to have been inspired by the Gucci 84 tennis sneaker. 

This custom pair is designed in honor of rapper Eminem’s record label, Shady Records. Featuring an all-white colorway, the super clean design is personalized with a "Shady" logo embroidered in white on the lateral heel. The original box sports a special tag that reads "Custom made for: Shady".
