Julius Lumsdem (British, b. 1967).

Julius Lumsden adheres to the dualities and contradictions that define his life and he expresses them in his work and in his creative journey. He draws on his multiracialism, his sexuality, his spirituality, and his international life experiences to explore the nature of identity in his art and design practice.

 

He was a Fashion International NYC 2003 Nominee for The Rising Star Award and has throughout his career collaborated with brilliant creative individuals and companies. His work has been bought by such top retailers as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks and Holt Renfrew among others. Lumsden designed three ballets for New York City Ballet. His design projects have been met with critical success and recognized throughout the world. 


His work has been featured in The New York Times, The New York Post, W Magazine, WWD, and In Style.
