Description

George Pearse Ennis (American 1884-1936).

Large framed harbor scene.


Ennis studied in New York at the Chase School of Art under William Merritt Chase, and later became a founding member of the Grand Central Painters and Sculptors Gallery and taught at the gallery's School of Art. Ennis spent many summers in Eastport Maine, and this work was likely painted there.
