Description
Harry Bertoia (Italian-American, 1915-1978).
In this early experimental sculpture, Bertoia interprets the floral references of his surroundings into a tactile and dynamic sculpture. The form captivates the viewer, encouraging one into a participatory role. Later examples of the Spray series were featured in Knoll Furniture showrooms in the late 1960s.
