Eve Ackroyd (British, b. 1984).

This work is offered unframed.

"My mother and her sisters appear in my paintings, specifically my memory of them when I was a child." —Eve Ackroyd

Eve Ackroyd studied painting at Chelsea College of Art & Weissensee School of Art in Berlin and currently lives and works in London.

Ackroyd pulls inspiration from her recollections of women from her youth and often paints her subjects in soft fields of color. Carefully choreographed distortions of body and space inform these personal and emotional portraits. Often avoiding male figures, the pictures present a new perspective on beauty and pleasure from the artist's memory.
