DJ Clark Kent and Nike commemorated “The List” with a limited-edition Nike Air Force 1 Low. With a history of collaborations, including the renowned 112 Pack, DJ Clark Kent’s involvement in the sneaker world is well-established. The mismatched design sports a multicolored, pebbled leather upper with mini Swooshes on the lateral sides. “FRIENDS” and “FAMILY” text is featured on the lateral heels respectively. Released in 2011, the limited-edition Air Force 1 pays tribute to the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Rabbit. The AF1 x YOT (“Year of The”) began in 2002 and continues annually in conjunction with the Chinese New Year. The Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme Year Of The Rabbit models the classic silhouette with designs dedicated to the Chinese zodiac of the year. The sneakers were made with materials employed in Abloh’s Louis Vuitton men’s collections, and styled with his signature quotation marks, echoing the written graphics Abloh often used in his work. The individual styles designed for the show were made by Louis Vuitton in its shoe manufacture in Fiesso d’Artico, Italy.&nbsp;The sneakers (limited to 200 total pairs), entirely made in leather, were embellished with Louis Vuitton’s emblematic Monogram and Damier patterns with natural cowhide piping. This Air Force 1 Hyperstrike was dropped in 2019 to friends and family of the much-loved New York Lower East Side establishment&nbsp;Scarr’s Pizza.&nbsp;&nbsp;Founder Scarr Pimental and team member Audie Villot had the idea to create an Air Force 1 that reflected the quality of the OG versions they grew up with and to commemorate their home city. Two years later, with the support of DJ Clark Kent, the unique collaboration with Nike was celebrated among the community who helped fuel their success.&nbsp;&nbsp; Pimental and Villot brought the same meticulousness to their city’s signature sneaker, as they do to their city’s signature food.
