Description

Nels Pedersen Mols (Danish, 1859–1921)

This work is sold unframed.


This notable genre and animal painter studied at the Royal Danish Academy from 1880 to 1884. Over a long career, Mols exhibited widely and with success throughout Europe. He was the recipient of numerous prizes and medals and juried awards, including from the State Museum of Art in Copenhagen (1886) and the Paris Salon, where he was awarded a medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900. Nils Mols is listed in all relevant art reference works including Benezit and Thieme-Becker.
