Sian Evans’ jewelry suggests a sweep through archaeological time and place. Evans creates her work using a variety of ancient goldsmithing and lapidary techniques. Rings, necklaces and earrings are both familiar and uncanny; her study and deconstruction of archetypes give new direction to historical forms. Ethics and sustainability direct how the pieces are made, each process considered for traceability and its carbon footprint.
