Description

First edition, first printing of this very special ABC book, in which Dr. Seuss takes us beyond the last letter of the alphabet.

  • Theodore Seuss Geisel [Dr. Seuss] (American).
  • New York: Random House, [1955].
  • [32] leaves.
  • Illustrated in color.
  • Bound in original color pictorial boards with original unclipped (250/250) color pictorial dust jacket, pictorial endpapers of children in a forest.

Fantastic creatures dwell past the end of the alphabet! From YUZZ to HI!, Dr. Seuss’s young narrator introduces the reader to 20 heretofore unknown letters, and the bizarre words that can be spelled with them. One such word bears a resemblance to a cruel nickname for disabled people, which recently prompted Dr. Seuss Enterprises to let the title go out of print.
