  • Two-sided, depicting animals of the zodiac on one side and sacred text on the other.
  • Lacquered and gilded cover depicting an elephant.
  • The parabaik records spells and other magic practices — a traditional belief system of the Shan that ran parallel with their professed adherence to Theravada Buddhism.
