Description
Willett Family Estate Single Barrel Rye #446 24 Year Old 94 Proof 1984
Barrel #446, bottle #84 of 264, selected Bonili Japan Co., Ltd., distilled 04/10/1984, stored in warehouse G, rick: North 1, white wax capsule slightly cracking, sticker residue adhered to the bottom of the bottle
Bonili is a Japanese importer that specializes in French wine, with a side interest in American whiskey – and in particular rare, extra-aged bourbon. Naturally, it has been a frequent client of the Willett distillery, whose Family Estate series has offered unique, older barrels for private bottling since the mid-2000s. This bottle is no different, coming from the same run of rye whiskey distilled in 1984 that produced such epic releases as Doug’s Green Ink and LeNell’s Red Hook Rye.
